Is the Beach safe for swimming? The beach in front of the property is called Shelly Beach as is a perfect spot for safe swimming.
Where is the CBD in Hervey Bay? Hervey Bay is quite spread out with shopping centre's in a variety of locations. The CBD is left on the Esplanade and left at Main Street.
Is there onsite parking for boats? Yes, we have plenty of onsite parking areas suitable for boats. It is important to know all parking is unallocated so you may not get a park right outside your room. Off street parking is available also.
Are there restaurants close by? Located on the property you will find the independently operated Barrel n Vine, acclaimed as one of the finest dining experiences in Hervey Bay it is a must to enjoy while staying at The Beach Motel.

Can we store out luggage or leave our car when we tour Fraser Island? Not a problem, bring your luggage to reception before your tour. Please check where to park when leaving your car at the same time.
Can we get assistance booking tours at the motel? Certainly, our reception staff can advise which tour would suit you, book your tour and organise a free transfer bus to collect you on the day.
Where is the closest bottle shop/hotel? Foodworks is a short 15 minute walk or the larger supermarkets are a short 5 minute drive. The Torquay Hotel is located left on the Esplanade which also has a bottle shop it is walking distance.
Is the pool heated? Our pool is lovely and secluded within the property, thankfully with the warm weather in Queensland it isn't required to heat the pool.
Can you see the whales from the beach? When it comes to seeing whales unfortunately you cannot see them from the beach, the bay is famous for it's quiet waters where the calves learn to breach. While staying at the property between July and October it is a must do to book a cruise out to meet the whales, we are more than happy to help.
How large is K'Gari Fraser Island? The world's largest sand island, K'Gari, stretches over 120 kilometres. It is not possible to tour the island without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Tour operators pick up and drop off at the front of the property.
Is there public transport available in Hervey Bay? Yes, the local bus stop is directly in front of reception. Uber and Taxi are also available.
Do I need to pay a security deposit? Yes, to confirm all bookings we process payment for your first nights' accommodation. At the time of check-in we are required to sight this same card, if the card has DEBIT written on the front it is actually a savings card and we will take a security deposit on arrival of $100. This is refundable on departure and can take up to 5 business days before the funds are available for use. We recommend if you have a DEBIT card that you bring the security deposit in cash to avoid any inconvenience.
